Developing The Dream Team  Success

"The person who thinks he is leading but has no followers is merely taking a stroll" Proverb

Today's smart leader knows that if he wants to get ahead he has to develop a dream team.  A team that has the ability to outperform him, out think him and out achieve him.  A great leader needs to be like a great conductor.  The maestro creates the vision, understanding & developing his musicians so that at precisely the right time he can bring them together to create a crescendo of perfection far better than anything he could ever have achieved on his own.

Does your team work together like a well tuned orchestra?

Do you know your teams skills & abilities as well as you know your own?

How much time have you recently taken to develop those around you?

Our greatest success as a leader is defined by the way we treat and develop those around us.  Too many senior managers still believe in the old adage that if you want to do a job well you have to do it yourself, failing to see that they limit their success to the amount of hours they alone can spend on the job.  Great leaders understand that time invested in training others is proportionate to the amount of success they can expect to achieve in the future.

How much more productive could you be if you didn't have to solve every problem yourself?

How much time have you spent recently coaching the people you work with so that they have the abilities needed to do the perfect job?

Can the people on your team out perform, out think & out achieve you?

"Trust men and they will be true to you; treat them greatly and they will show themselves great"

Ralph Waldo Emerson
